• Hamdi Abdikani, is a Social worker by profession with Master’s degree in International Coordination and Humanitarian Aid. She currently works with World Vision Somalia as a Program Officer, overseeing proposal development and grants acquisition, donor engagement and grants management. Inspired by the humanitarian work she has been engaged with in the last 7 years, Hamdi, founded a Community Based Organisation that support the community on a yearly basis dubbed “iftar program”. The main goal of the Iftar Program is to raise funds to support the needy, poor and vulnerable members of the community and orphan children during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The program also covers muslim festivals such as Eid so as to spread love and happiness among the vulnerable members of the society. The Project was started in 2021 and a total of $24,853 was raised. For the Iftar program, 248 families were supported directly with basic dry food where each Iftar package costs $75 whereas for Eid program, a total of 184 orphan children were supported with clothing to take part in the festivities thereby boosting their moral and self esteem thus celebrating the festivity in pomp and colour. Mothers of these orphan children were each supported with $40 dollars to do shopping for the children.

    Hamdi is also a member of young leaders who founded Tolmô society- a dynamic, non-profit organization based in Puntland, Somalia, dedicated to empowering youth through knowledge acquisition, start-up development, transformative leadership, and skill enhancement. We believe that investing in the youth is the key to sustainable development and positive societal change.   • I am a Jordanian-American living in Germany with my husband. I graduated from the University of Jordan where my BSc was in Industrial Engineering and I then did my Masters in Conflict Resolution. I have been exposed to a range of roles at leadership development organisations in Jordan. My previous experiences with the different FIFA and AFC Local Organising Committees for world-class tournaments solidified my interest in sports. I love music and enjoy singing.

    I currently work for Generations For Peace where I support the implementation of programmes in the USA, Middle East & Near Asia (MENA) and in Europe.

She's heading the corporate relations for two of her college societies - Entrepreneurship Cell and the Consulting Club. She has been a part of the founding and management team of Jijeevisha, a government recognised mental welfare NGO in India. Besides academics, She has a penchant for music and dancing.

  • Christian co-founded the Act To Save The World Organisation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based in North Kivu, the organisation works to give hope to all those people and families struck by various crises in the province. He is also the co-partner of Sustainable Solution SS based in Goma. This business works in the printing and agricultural sectors.

  • Byolenganya Olo Bernoulli aged 28 is the Executive Director of

    Community Support Center / CSC-Asbl based in the eastern part of DR Congo founded in 2016. He funds this charity through his work as a Civil Engineer.

    Olo was a victim of discrimination and social injustice due to his

    health situation. Driven by the desire to make sure that no child will experience a difficult childhood like his own, he founded CSC-Asbl with the vision to promote fellowship, empowerment and the rights of children and girl survivors and victims of wars, ethnic conflicts, and violence, in order to give them joy and hope for a better future, so that they become productive members of society.

    Olo is certified and experienced in Child Safeguarding Policy making, Accountability, Working with psychological trauma and Unlocking the Power of Inclusion.

  • Atale lives and works in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is the Managing Director of SHI-Asbl. The mission is rooted in the provision of life-saving humanitarian assistance, sustainable development and the empowerment of marginalised communities. The mission of SHI-Asbl is to work towards a world where every child has access to equitable nutrition, helath care and education.

  • I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. I am 32 years old and graduated from the Architecture School of the University of Guadalajara in 2014. I have been ab active volunteer with TECHO Mexico since 2011, serving as a volunteer coordinator of Training and Volunteering, and coordinator of Habitat. I began to work as an employee from July 2016 to 2019, and then from 2019 - 2021 as Director of the TECHO Headquarters in Mexico City. I am currently National Director of Regions for TECHO.

    I have work experience in the traditional practice of Architecture, as well as a designer in an architecture studio and a supervisor of construction.

    I found in volunteering an experience of personal and professional transformation. Through contact with the most vulnerable communities and realities helped me to discover a vocation for working on the transformation of our country and the elimination of social inequality. This is the conviction that guides my career.

  • Irene is a Programme and Innovations Manager at Y-Fem Namibia Trust. She has over 10 years experience as a feminist organiser working in the intersectional feminist movements. She is passionate about strengthening the voices of girls and young women in all their diversity within their communities, by igniting their passion and creating safe spaces for them to champion their issues. This is develops feminist leadership to ensure women take a feminist approach in collectively advocating and demanding their rights.

  • She lives and works in Namibia, South West Africa and runs Y-Fem NamibiaTrust.

  • Rama (Ramiro) is from Argentina and is now based in Spain as Techo’s General Director for Europe. He built his first house for the charity on 2014. Rama says:

    Throughout my career, I have worked with various NGOs and have had the opportunity to collaborate on development projects in different countries. I have also been involved in the planning and execution of various social entrepreneurship initiatives, focused on improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable communities.

    As for my knowledge in digital solutions, I have participated in the development of various platforms and applications that have allowed NGOs and entrepreneurs to improve their management and communication with their beneficiaries and partners.focus on mediation and project management in diverse and vulnerable contexts can greatly contribute to the SDGs. I particularly feel challenged by the cause of poverty in which I have been working as a volunteer for more than 7 years. Notwithstanding this interpellation, I consider that the objectives are not watertight and as such they share common points and comprehensive solutions. I believe that a career in the field of cooperation can contribute to various SDGs depending on the problem to be addressed.

  • I live in Harare, Zimbabwe, and I am 35 years old. I have 15 years experience working to change for the better civil society, especially on projects related to gender justice, sustainable livelihoods, and social and economic development for local communities.

    I also work for Heart and Soul broadcasting Services, where I promote a programme called Bro Code that is centred on issues that affect men and boys, including their mental health.

    In 2021 I set up Men 4 Equality which promotes gender equality, equity and understanding.

    I have recently been appointed a board member of Ravo Africa Foundation. This is a Uganda based NGO that works with vulnerable communities and children.

  • James has just graduated from University in Burundi and is now back home in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is being coached by Mark Walker and mentored by two LTL young leaders, Olo Benoulli and Medi Muyisa. His aim is to set up an organisation to promote the empowerment of young people through education, training in entrepreneurship, personal development, and financial management.

    He believes that this will help to create income generating activities which will in turn empower young people and support them in taking responsibility for their own futures.

  • Joy Tadayo is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies and a Master’s degree in Research and Public Policy. With a deep passion for advocating for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through effective policy processes, Joy has actively contributed to various organizations and initiatives.

    Joy’s commitment to making a positive impact led to volunteering with prominent NGOs such as the Shamiri Institute, Teach for Kenya, Rahul Kotak Foundation and Pacemaker International.

    Joy actively participated in these organizations, gaining valuable experience in implementing initiatives that promote sustainable development and improve the lives of marginalized communities.

    Through Joy’s work at the Shamiri Institute and Teach for Kenya, Joy showcased her expertise in research and policy development. These contributions helped develop innovative solutions to pressing social issues and improve educational opportunities for underprivileged children.

    Recognised for influence and impact, Joy received the prestigious title of Social Media Influencer of the Year in 2018 and Best Team Leader and Best Sustainable Development Project at Pacemaker International in 2023.

    Her ability to effectively communicate and engage with audiences on various platforms has allowed them to raise awareness about important social causes and inspire positive change.

  • Kenneth is the Director of Management and Information for TECHO International. He began working for Techo 7 years ago as a volunteer, while he was still studying to become an Engineer in Biomedics. Shortly after that, he became National Director of Purchases and Logistics for Techo Argentina. In this position, he was responsible for optimising the use of materials and for the budget of the organisation. He then transitioned to National Director of Planning, Management and Monitoring also for Techo Argentina, where he also gained experience in project management, in developing social and financial impact evaluations and in developing strategies. Kenneth also has a BA in Management of Health Services in course.
